What the Walk In Clinic Doesn’t Treat.

Walk-in patients will generally include the items listed above. If your reason for a visit is different than an item on the list, you will most likely need to schedule an appointment with a physician. Examples of illness that would not be seen as a walk-in patient include, but are not limited to: refill of medications, follow-up visits from appointments related to diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol or other chronic conditions, as these need to be followed up by your primary care provider.
The Walk In Clinic is not for patients with emergency needs such as heart attacks, stroke or broken bones. Patients with these or similar emergency symptoms should still go to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Department located in the hospital at 601 E. 14th Street. The Walk In Clinic is not a primary care facility, so patients should also continue seeing their primary health care provider on a regular basis.

Stay Well.

The Walk In Clinic will also help connect patients without a primary care provider to the appropriate Bothwell physicians who are accepting new patients. Walk-in clinic records are electronic, just like the rest of Bothwell’s network, so patients’ primary care physicians will be able to see their visit records, just as Walk In Clinic staff will have access to patients’ Bothwell medical history. The Walk In Clinic is another Bothwell Regional Health Center resource that can help our community Get Well and Stay Well.

What Does a Walk In Clinic Visit Cost?

Walk In Clinic patients will see a lower cost than an urgent care or emergency department visit. Patients with private insurance will pay their office visit co-pay at the time of their visit.
