Radiation Therapy

Radiation therapy is used to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. About half of all people with cancer are treated with radiation therapy. Radiation therapy may be used alone or in combination with other cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy or surgery.

Bothwell Regional Health Center uses some of the most advanced medical technology available to treat patients by focusing on the affected area only. In some cases, you may receive more than one type of radiation therapy.
