Community CPR/AED and First Aid
You may not be a medical professional, but you may one day have an opportunity to help save a life by knowing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Several times during the year, Bothwell offers a course to teach participants how to provide CPR to an adult, child or infant and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for adults and children.
Participants also may add an optional half-day course on first aid for adults and children. Typical participants in these classes include corporate and retail employees, security, law enforcement, health and fitness staff, parents and grandparents. Special classes can be arranged for large groups.
The credentialed course curriculum is provided by the American Heart Association and includes a skills test. CPR and AED completion cards are presented. The course DOES NOT meet the special requirements for health care provider certification.
