Nurse Practitioner Dobbs returns to Bothwell Truman Lake clinic
Stacey Dobbs, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, has returned to Bothwell Health Center – Truman Lake in Warsaw.
As a nurse practitioner, Dobbs can evaluate and treat illnesses and injuries, order and interpret labs and tests, prescribe medications, and perform annual health and well-woman exams and physicals.
Dobbs has been a nurse for over 20 years and received a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Saint Louis University. Her experience includes working in hospital emergency departments, occupational and sports medicine and surgical units.
She previously worked at the Warsaw clinic for four years providing family medicine care and then moved to a private urgent care organization. She returned to Bothwell last September to care for patients in the walk-in clinic setting.
Dobbs said she’s excited to return to the Warsaw community.
“I have missed caring for patients in the area,” she said. “I am familiar with the challenges of finding good health care in rural communities, and it’s so important that everyone has a medical home. I’m thrilled to join the Warsaw team again and ensure people have options for their care.”
Marvin Smoot, Bothwell’s Clinic Operations vice president, said Dobbs’s move back to Warsaw will increase access, which is vital to good health.
“There is a great need for primary care providers in the area,” he said. “Stacey is trusted and well-liked in the community and built a terrific practice of patient-centered care when she was in Warsaw several years ago. We know she will pick back up where she left off and re-establish those relationships and create new ones.”
Dobbs joins Dr. Kimetha Fairchild and Nurse Practitioner Chelsea Casteel at the clinic. Bothwell Health Center-Truman Lake is located at 1765 Commercial St. in Warsaw. Patients who wish to be seen by Dobbs for their health care needs should call the clinic at 660.438.6800 to make an appointment.
