Bothwell Sleep Center earns reaccreditation by AASM
Bothwell Regional Health Center announces that Bothwell Sleep Center has once again been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), a recognition of excellence that extends the center’s accreditation for another five years beginning February 2025. This milestone highlights the center’s continued dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for sleep disorders.
The AASM accreditation is the gold standard in sleep medicine, signifying the provider’s adherence to rigorous standards that ensure the best care for patients. The reaccreditation process evaluates key areas including patient care, safety protocols, personnel qualifications and equipment quality.
Dr. David Kuhlmann, medical director of Bothwell Sleep Center and a specialist in sleep medicine, emphasized the importance of this achievement.
“Our reaccreditation affirms the outstanding work of our team and their commitment to improving lives through better sleep health,” Kuhlmann said. “It’s an honor to lead such a skilled group of professionals who consistently go above and beyond to support our patients. This recognition reassures patients and the community that they are receiving care that meets the highest national standards.”
The Bothwell Sleep Center, first accredited by the AASM in 2010, has maintained this prestigious recognition through a focus on quality and innovation. In addition to having certified sleep technologists, the center provides comprehensive treatment for a wide range of sleep disorders including insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy and more.
“Our team takes great pride in offering patient-centered care in an environment designed for comfort and excellence,” Smoot added. “Achieving reaccreditation is a reflection of our dedication to serving the community’s health needs.”
The Bothwell Sleep Center, located at 600 E. 12th St. in Sedalia, has been helping patients achieve better sleep since 1997. For more information, call 660.827.9573 or visit brhc.org.
