Emergency Department Director Opportunity
The Emergency Department Director reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. The position oversees and directs all ED functions, including managing resources and nursing staff to provide the delivery of safe and quality patient care. The successful candidate will develop and implement policies, procedures and standards and assist on the floor when needed.
Eligible candidates will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing; master’s degree preferred
- A working knowledge of emergency medicine
- At least five years of leadership or management experience
Our 24/7/365 Emergency Department sees and treats over 25,000 patients each year and averages about 85 patients a day. It is currently being remodeled to improve flow and will include a new triage care system that will improve identification and prioritization of patients with time-sensitive health care needs.
