Imaging

Our Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging Services use state-of-art technology to perform tests and studies that provide radiologists and physicians the information they need for an accurate diagnosis and more effective treatment.

These services include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scanning, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans, nuclear medicine, cardiac catheterization, ultrasound, digital x-rays, mammography and bone density scans.

Bothwell Regional Health Center has imaging equipment available on the first floor of the hospital, as well as at Bothwell Diagnostic Center in west Sedalia and Bothwell Health Center-Truman Lake in Warsaw.

Bothwell has a 64-slice CT scanner at the main hospital that allows radiology technologists to perform quick, painless exams that provide physicians with the detailed images they need for more accurate diagnoses. Our CT, the Somatom Sensation 64 from Siemens Medical Solutions, is billed as the world’s fastest and most advanced 64-slice CT system, capturing images while exposing patients to lower, safer doses of radiation.

Our closed MRI unit at the main hospital is complemented with a high-field, open MRI at the Diagnostic Center. The MRI can perform detailed studies of the brain, abdomen, vascular and neurological systems to deliver images with more clarity for better detection and diagnosis. The health center also can perform such tests as magnetic resonance angiograms for cardiovascular studies.
