Diabetes Education

Bothwell Regional Health Center offers a diabetes education program to help individuals with all types of diabetes develop the skills and knowledge they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and reduce the risk of long-term complications. The program covers such topics as meal planning, using glucose meters, managing glucose levels, taking diabetes medications and preventing complications. These services are provided on an individual basis or in group classes.

We also offer a Diabetes Support Group to give people with diabetes the opportunity to interact and share information with other diabetes patients. Educational programs are presented on a variety of topics related to living with diabetes.

More information on our Diabetes Education program is available by emailing info@brhc.org or calling (660) 827-9334. These services are also offered at Bothwell Health Center-Truman Lake.
