Topics covered in our comprehensive program include medication, nutrition, physical activity, monitoring and complications. Certified Diabetes Educators provide these services. Medicare and most insurance plans cover the services with your physician’s referral.
Diabetes Support Group
In addition, we also offer a Diabetes Support Group. It is a community
service open to all people with diabetes and their family members at no
cost. Meeting with others who are in the same situation offers the
opportunity to share feelings and gain valuable tips. Studies show that
attending a diabetes support group can help reduce stress and have a
positive effect on the health of those with diabetes. Information is
provided on a variety of topics related to diabetes.
Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at
the Bothwell
