Pat Gaunt Scholarship Recipients for 2016
FOUNDATION PRESENTS SCHOLARSHIPS
Pat Gaunt Leadership in Nursing Scholarships were presented by the Bothwell
Foundation during National Nurses Week. Department, training and individual
scholarships were awarded.
Oelrichs, RN in Women’s Health, was awarded a $500 to help with expenses
related to earning her master’s degree in Nursing Education. She will receive
an additional $500 in matching funds from the HSG Foundation.
Foundation also will provide funds for Cassie Kindle and Ashley Holmberg,
registered nurses in the 2 North/Short Stay Unit, to attend a national training
program for urology procedures ($2,790).
Education was granted $3,000 for a subscription to Advanced Cardiac Life
Support training scenarios to use with
Nurse Annie, the training mannequin.
Leadership in Nursing Scholarship is made possible by a bequest from the estate
of Patricia Gaunt, who was a registered nurse at Bothwell from 1969 until her
retirement in 2001. Her bequest provides resources for other nursesto have the
training they need to better serve the patients they care for each day.
