Healthy Living Action Group offers lap swim at Liberty Park Pool
Sedalia, Missouri, Aug. 2, 2017 — The Sedalia Healthy Living Action Group will host lap swimming on Thursday, Aug. 17, as part of its Moving 101 community health and wellness initiative. The free event will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Liberty Park Pool, 1600 W. 3rd Street in Sedalia.
“This is an opportunity for people to get a great low-impact workout while they cool off during the ‘dog days’ of August,” said Melissa Boeschen, community outreach coordinator at Bothwell Regional Health Center and chair of the Healthy Living Action Group. “Moving 101 is about giving people a reason to get out and get moving and have fun.”
All the Moving 101 activities are free and open to the public. Information about Moving 101 and other Healthy U activities can be found at facebook.com/HUPettisCounty. Healthy U is a project of the Healthy Living Action Group, which includes BRHC, Katy Trail Community Health, Pettis County Health Center, Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri and University of Missouri Extension.
