Bothwell Foundation announces 12th annual Lub Dub registration is now open
It’s time for the Bothwell Foundation’s Lub Dub Run, presented locally by Central Bank of Sedalia. Lace up your shoes and get your heart pumping to prevent the No. 1 cause of death in Pettis and Benton counties, cardiovascular disease.
The 12th annual Lub Dub Run is Saturday, April 27, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. The Lub Dub, named after the sound of a healthy heartbeat, benefits the Camye Callis Gaspard Memorial Heart Fund, which helps finance improvements in cardiovascular treatment at Bothwell Regional Health Center and in Pettis and Benton counties.
“The Lub Dub Run is an exceptional event for both competitive runners and beginners,” said Rick Schlesselman, Lub Dub race director and Bothwell Foundation board member. “This event is a community event and we encourage everyone to come out and walk, run, volunteer or just cheer on the participants.”
The Lub Dub Run includes 10K and 5K runs, a 5K walk and a kids run. All events begin and end at the Bothwell Regional Health Center’s south parking lot on East 15th Street. Registration is available online at www.brhc.org/LubDub. For more information or to volunteer, call the Bothwell Foundation at 660-829-7786.
