SEDALIA - The Bothwell Regional Health Center Auxiliary recently awarded its annual scholarship to Sarah-Anne Hopper, a second year nursing student at State Fair Community College. Hopper received a $1,000 scholarship for nursing education. She currently works in the Progressive Care Unit as a licensed practical nurse.
“My goal is to stay in Sedalia and continue my career at Bothwell Regional Health Center,” Hopper said. “I would also like to eventually work in critical care and the emergency department.”
The Bothwell Auxiliary annually awards nursing scholarships to nursing students with preference to one entering the nursing field and furthering his or her education. This year, there was one scholarship awarded.
“We are pleased to assist Sarah-Anne in continuing her nursing studies to become an RN.” said Karen Suroff, chairman of the Auxiliary Scholarship Committee and a former nurse at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
Proceeds from Bothwell Regional Health Center’s Gift Shop fund the scholarships.
